Mosques of Habbous neighbourhood

Moulay Youssef mosque

GPS coordinates: 33°34’41″N 7°36’16″W (33.578056, -7.604444)

The mosque was built in 1923 by architects Auguste Cadet and Edmond Brion. The minaret of Moulay Youssef mosque reminds of Hassan tower in Rabat and Koutoubia minaret in Marrakesh (which restoration works were held by M. Cadet). Probably that experience has inspired him to create Moulay Youssef mosque in this style.
