«Rabat and around», radial 3-7 day route
This is the plan of day trips to towns & cities that are reachable from Rabat – that’s why this route is fully customizable: choose any amount of days and any places of listed below and arrange them in any order. Radial route suits better those who don’t like to unpack things twice or more and those who like to spend nights in the same room.

Description of route
Travelers are supposed to use trains. You’d better check timetable before buying tickets – the difference between duration of ride may vary up to 40 min. I’m sure you don’t wish to spend excess time in train though they are rather comfortable in Morocco.
Hotel or riad should be booked in Rabat (7-day trip means 6 nights from the 1st day to the 7th).

7 days:
1, Monday, Rabat.
Book 6 nights in hotel of Rabat (from 1 to 7).
Arrival.
2, Tuesday, Rabat.
Sightseeing in Rabat & Sale. Today you may buy train tickets for the whole route. Or if you are not sure about your wishes or your strength/endurance, you can buy tickets the day before you want to go.
3, Wednesday, Rabat – Casablanca – Rabat.
Today you need to wake up early. The thing is that Hassan II mosque is really worth a visit. You can use itinerary of self-guided tour in Casablanca or plan your own sightseeing tour – here’s the list of Casablanca’s sights. Note: self-guided tour requires arrival to Hassan II mosque at 9 or 10 a.m.
4, Thursday, Rabat – Fez – Rabat.
One-way trip to Fez will take 2,5 hours, so you’d rather get up again early. Go sightseeing in Fez. 18-35 board the train to Rabat, 21-03 arrival to Rabat Ville.
5, Friday, Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Meknes – Rabat.
8-37/10-37 board the train to Meknes, 10-35/12-35 arrival. Start with Roman ruins in nearby Volubilis (30 km) and come back to Meknes to see its sights. 19-07 train back to Rabat, 21-03 arrival.
6, Saturday, Rabat – El Jadida – Rabat.
There are not so many trains direction El Jadida to choose from. First of all you should know that it will take 3 hours to reach El Jadida and the train goes through Casablanca with an interchange. 6-53/8-53 train to El Jadida via Casa Port, 10-10/12-10 arrival. Sightseeing in El Jadida. 18-30 train back to Rabat, 21-22 arrival.
7, Sunday, Rabat.
